There is jazaa for the people who deserve punishment their punishment is called their jazaa and then there is a reward for the people who do good its called jazaa which let’s you know and this is an added benefit, its not sufficient if you want to make duaa for someone in their favor to say “Jazakallahu brother, jazakallah” its an EMPTY DUAA, its has no meaning to it, Allah is going to give jazaa to everyone, so to make duaa that you get a jazaa is MEANINGLESS, jazakallahu..kheyran..jazaakallahu ihsaanan jazakallahu…something..firdausan jazaakallahu something.. And typically we hear jazaakallahu kheyran. As the prophet sallallahu aleyhi wasallam says “whoever has had something good to him and he says to the one who did it to him “jazaakallahu kheyran” he has done excessively well in thanking him in praising or thanking him for that good deed.”
Al-Albaanee authenticated it in Saheeh Sunan At-Tirmithee #2035 (2/392).
